What is wellness coaching and counseling?
Wellness coaching and counseling is like life coaching, but focused on health and fitness. It is grounded in the process of guiding people toward better health through one-on-one (or small group) conversations that take a "whole self" approach to the barriers of developing a lifestyle of health.
Clients participate in guided shopping trips to New Seasons Market and learn about "Mindful Eating" while sharing a meal with Ian. During these activities, you can look forward to non-judgmental conversations, discussing your attitude toward yourself, your body, food, fitness, and what it means to be healthy.
Ian will help you with:
- Making sound decisions
- Not beating yourself up
- Focusing on the positives, rather than the negatives
- Moving away from a “diet” or “all or nothing” mind-set
- Becoming more grounded, centered and mindful
- Getting away from the “should's” in life
- Unraveling the mass of information about health and wellness
